Global Wellness Summit Announces 2018 Co-Chairs

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the annual event focused on the $3.7 trillion global wellness economy, today announced renowned fitness/wellness entrepreneur Tony de Leede and Mia Kyricos, as co-chairs of this year’s Summit (October 6-8, 2018). The 12th annual event will take place at Technogym Village, a 37-acre campus located in Cesena, Italy. Technogym is a world-leading manufacturer of fitness and gym equipment and an official supplier of the Olympic Games.

Tony de Leede is an extraordinarily successful fitness pioneer, having built Australia’s biggest fitness empire, Fitness First. He is also a renowned wellness resort entrepreneur who co-owns a range of wellness hospitality businesses, including the award-winning Gwinganna, and very on-trend surf wellness brand, Komune.

Mia Kyricos, President and CEO of Kyricos & Associates LLC, whose clients span both public and private sectors as well as Fortune 500 companies, has attended every Summit in the event’s history and has sat on the GWS board for five years. With over 25 years of experience, Mia has helped to develop, operate, and market wellness-related brands and facilities across 100+ countries, and has held senior positions for industry pioneers including Chief Brand Officer of Spafinder Wellness, Inc., Vice President of EXOS, and Global Director of Spa Brands for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. She also Chairs the Wellness Communities Initiative for the Global Wellness Institute and serves as its Research Advisor.
