1. RAKxa Integrative Wellness

RAKxa Integrative Wellness has announced its debut in the United States with RAKxa Wellness Spa at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen, Colorado. Opening its doors this winter, this all-around health-focused spa combines the wisdom and innovative techniques from RAKxa's Thailand roots with a sophisticated and relaxing spa experience and complementary treatments to help rebalance the body and mind.

RAKxa Wellness Spa has curated a menu of treatments that specifically address and alleviate common performance-related concerns such as muscle aches, muscle tension, circulation within the body and relief from altitude-related ailments.

A signature highlight featured on RAKxa's first state-side spa menu is the Ballancer Pro, which utilizes a Lymphatic Drainage Suit that offers a unique solution that elevates both performance and recovery. This highly sought-after wellness apparatus optimizes lymphatic drainage in the body, removes toxins and reduces inflammation overall.

Additional highlights include the introduction of two new signature treatments to the menu designed to enhance the guest experience at RAKxa Wellness Spa.

RAKxa Good Night Sleep offers a solution for those seeking better sleep quality and relief from jet lag or disruptions to their circadian rhythm. This treatment combines a relaxing oil massage, with RAKxa's organic "deep sleep" plant oil blend, an Ayurvedic-inspired scalp massage and the use of Tibetan singing bowls to rebalance the body's chakras, promoting deeper relaxation.

The RAKxa Tension Release provides a blend of traditional Thai Medicine and sports science for those needing muscle relief after an active day, incorporating deep stretching techniques and acupressure points along the body's meridian lines to relieve muscle tension and restore natural circulation.

The RAKxa Wellness Spa within the resort also offers enhanced amenities like oxygen therapy, cold plunge pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, a confluence waterfall pool and Technogym access.

"Aspen is not just a destination; it's an experience, and RAKxa Wellness Spa at The St. Regis Aspen Resort is poised to elevate that experience to new heights," said Heather Steenge-Hart, area general manager for Luxury Mountain Resorts and The St. Regis Aspen Resort. "We understand that visitors to Aspen are not just looking for relaxation but also for opportunities to elevate their mind, body and health in this picturesque playground."

3. Janu Tokyo

Janu, meaning 'soul' in Sanskrit, has opened its inaugural hotel in Tokyo, marking the inception of a robust and expanding pipeline of 12 properties. Janu draws inspiration from the legacy of sibling resort, Aman.

Janu Tokyo enhances the experience of both its guests and the local community through enriching moments that celebrate the joy of genuine human interaction. Janu Tokyo introduces 122 guest rooms and suites, eight venues for dining and socializing and a 4,000 sqm spa and wellness center to a landmark building designed by visionary architects Pelli Clarke & Partners and interiors by Jean Michel Gathy of Denniston.

Janu Tokyoʼs commitment to enhancing wellbeing begins in its multi-disciplinary spa and wellness center which spans across four floors. Designed to encourage social wellness, and complement both active and passive pathways, one of Tokyoʼs largest gyms (340 sqm) is accompanied by five movement studios for group exercise including spinning, yoga, golf simulation and boxing, alongside an extensive hydrotherapy and thermal area with an indoor lap pool and heated lounge pool for relaxation. Each day, a program of eight to 12 group classes in a range of modalities spans from the mindful, such as yoga and breathwork, to the adventurous, including Outrace and Skill X fitness, making the most of the gymʼs advanced equipment ‒ the first of its kind in a Tokyo hotel.

The wellness center also features two signature Spa Houses, available for up to four guests on an exclusive basis. Additionally, a consultation room, hair and nail salon and seven private treatment rooms offer an array of Janu therapies. For non-hotel guests, a limited number of Wellness Collective memberships are available, inviting the local community to discover the notion of social wellness.

Janu Tokyo is the only hotel within Azabudai Hills, an inspirational urban hub of nature, culture and art. Through events and experiences in partnership with local artisans and institutions, Janu showcases its commitment to supporting its local community.

4. Omni La Costa Resort & Spa

The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa will be unveiling sweeping renovations designed to encapsulate the heart of the La Costa Lifestyle in the summer of 2024. Inspired by classic Spanish-style architecture, this highly anticipated redesign will transform the resort’s 400 unspoiled acres into a pinnacle of luxury and fresh, quiet elegance.

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa will undergo a sophisticated transformation, introducing serene new spaces that invite guests to unwind and rejuvenate in style. The spa’s updates will include three luxurious new salt rooms for unwinding and decompressing, refurbished steam rooms with new aromatherapy features, and new state-of-the-art equipment in the showers, locker rooms and select treatment rooms such as the Vichy showers. The spa’s walls, now brightened with softer, quieter features, will be lined with vintage art as a nod to Omni La Costa’s historic past, when the spa was once a refuge for the world’s most powerful figures, including Richard Nixon and Jackie Kennedy.

More than 500 renovated guest rooms, including villas, suites, hospitality rooms and presidential suites, will unveil a fresh new look that blends history with modernity, enhancing the resort’s beloved architecture with light airy spaces, soft casual textures and neutral tones. Design details include handcrafted painted tiles, dimensional abstract art and wrought ironwork.
