On Our Radar: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita
Name: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita
Location: Punta Mita, Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, Mexico
The Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita has announced a new spa director, Paulina Mercader, and the recently renovated Apuane Spa, featuring wellness programming with fresh spa, fitness and culinary offerings.
The beachfront property, featuring 177 casita-style guest rooms and 50 villas, sits on 400 acres of jungle on the southwest point of the Riviera Nayarit near Puerto Vallarta. For an authentic taste of Mexico, guests can visit the alfresco Richard Sandoval restaurants and enjoy the ocean views while deciding which of the whopping 200 types of tequila to try. After dropping by the dining options, guests can visit the “Tail of the Whale” hole, known as the world’s only natural island green on the world-class golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
The multimillion dollar renovation—which included the transformation of the adults-only Tamai Pool and an expansive redesign of the resort’s top luxury suites—features several intriguing new offerings. “We take pride in providing our guests with one-of-a-kind experiences,” says general manager John O’Sullivan. “With the seasoned expertise of Paulina Mercader and the ongoing focus on meaningful innovation at our spa, we will continue to dream up and offer new luxury wellness experiences for our guests.”
Examples include myDNA Retreat—a program that uses DNA testing to prescribe personalized skin, diet and wellness recommendations. Guests can fully utilize their recommendations by heading over to the spa to check out the Superfood Spa Menu, comprised of bento boxes filled with healthy vegan, Mediterranean, Asian and locally inspired options, as well as spa waters enhanced with natural drops from Pure Inventions. After taking care of their bodies, clients can take care of their minds with a visit to the onsite Toe Astrologer, a certified Master Toe Reader, for a 30-minute reading of “the story of their life” and 80-minute Punta Mita Pedicure.
