Need To Know

With magic moments at every turn, the journey to The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort (fourseasons.com/orlando) is adorned with firework-inspired crystal light fixtures indoors, and a vibrant Mickey and Minnie topiary along palm-lined paths outdoors. Located within Central Florida’s only Five Diamond resort, the lakeside spa is both spacious and visually stunning. Treatment offerings are vast, pleasing both the seasoned spa-goer and rookie alike to include cryotherapy, oxygen facials, IV drips, vibrational sound healing, cupping and aromatherapy, to name a few.

The spa spans an impressive 30,000 square feet, boasting a large reception area and retail boutique, full-service hair and nail salon, and 18 treatment rooms (six couple’s rooms, two private bungalows, eight wet rooms, four esthetic rooms and one vitality therapy suite used for IV drips). His and her locker and changing areas include showers, an experience shower, ice fountain, steam room, full vanity and private outdoor whirlpool. Two indoor/outdoor relaxation lounges calm the senses with neutral design elements featuring a fireplace, fountain, zero gravity beds and tranquil water views.

Business Savvy

A clear vision, progressiveness and inclusivity are standards that management, including senior spa director Derek Hofmann and assistant spa manager Arianne Schelling, strive to meet. “Derek has a way with words and a communication style that puts everyone around him at ease. His verbal skills combined with a ‘no task is too big or small’ attitude fosters a mutual respect among the team,” explains Schelling. She credits the spa team as passionate about service and connection, holding themselves to very high standards: “They thrive knowing they work on a team and in a place that endeavors to be the best and applauds individual effort as well as a sense of community.”
