Stonedrift Spa at the Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in Galena, Illinois, has announced that it was awarded a Silver Medal in the Best Renovation in the Midwest category at the 7th Annual Stella Awards from Northstar Meetings Group. The Stella Awards are the meeting industry’s highest honor, recognizing hotels, convention centers, conference centers, airlines, cruise lines, DMOs/CVBs and DMCs that provide quality service and innovation to meeting and event professionals.

This year's Stella Awards included 16 categories, with nearly 10,000 votes cast globally for 770 destinations, hotels and service providers. Winners were selected for achieving overall excellence, superb food and beverage, professionalism of staff, sustainability initiatives and other critical aspects of the meetings and events experience.
The Stonedrift Spa underwent a two-year renovation that revamped the spa's aesthetic and doubled the number of services offered. The resort added high ceilings and a mix of state-of-the-art and earthy furnishings made from raw wood and natural stone to create a tranquil environment.
The spa offers new facial and body treatments, a hair salon, a barbershop, a hot towel shave experience, unique wellness offerings including reiki and sound healing, luxurious Breathe and Detox rooms, state-of-the-art steam rooms, Vichy shower and more.
