A Toast to Performance Brands

Performance Brands recently helped raise more than $1,200 for the American Heart Association (AHA) by taking part in a “Home is Where the Heart Is” wine and cheese event in Hallandale, Florida.

Last November’s fundraiser, hosted by Perry Ellis, featured guest speaker Michael Chizner, M.D., chief medical director of the Heart Center of Excellence at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The AHA’s goal is to encourage a healthier lifestyle, free from cardiovascular disease and stroke. Chizner’s informative presentation focused on today’s heart issues.

Performance Brands believes in the mission of the AHA and did not want to miss the opportunity to get involved with such a great cause, according to the company. Various products from the company’s Vineyard Collection Grapes and Bask Collections were donated for a raffle.

Jamie Wasser, a member of the Perry Ellis International Community Action Committee benefiting different charitable causes, was the winner of Bask Sexy Bronze Tan n’ Go Products. More than 60 people attended the event, held at Wasser’s family business furniture showroom.

The company also stays actively involved in various other charitable pursuits, including youth sports activities. “Here at Performance Brands, we are thankful for the blessings we receive each day and believe in sharing those blessings with those less fortunate than us,” says Monte Montellese, sales manager. — Soraya Gutierrez
