OleHenriksen Spa Hosts Day of Giving

On January 23, the OleHenriksen Face/Body Spa in West Hollywood, California, hosted more than 50 members of Dress for Success, a foundation created to empower women professionally by providing free work and interview attire, and Beyond Shelter, a local homelessness support center, for a “Day of Giving.” Free services, including hydrotherapy soaks, facials, massages and manis/pedis were offered to the hard-working women associated with these organizations, in an effort to give back to a community of people directly affected by the economic crisis.

“It was a very touching experience to be a part of the Day of Giving,” says Ole Henriksen, founder and creative director behind the OleHenriksen skincare brand and namesake Spa. “We were honored to give recognition to the local members of these organizations and provide them with the special care and attention they deserve. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to give back.”

Henriksen and Adriana Zyskowski, branch manager of Dress for Success, were present at the all-day event to provide support and empower participants as they entered through the spa’s doors. The spa was closed for regular business throughout the day to afford enough time and resources to provide as many treatments as possible to the participants.

“I used to get facials regularly, but, of course, have not been able to afford one for quite some time,” said Nancy, a member of Dress for Success who participated in a Day of Giving. “The last one, in fact, was about five years ago. My skin feels absolutely amazing. And I feel so much better.”
