To help keep professionals up to speed on one fast-growing segment of the market, Nouveau Contour offers a wide range of targeted courses in permanent makeup application at its educational facility in Orlando, Florida.
Since first launching in March, 2010, this program has “grown exponentially,” says Tami Doyle, sales and account executive, Nouveau Contour. “Our academy has enjoyed a 60+% increase in enrollment over the past year.”
The program offers courses ranging from fundamental to advanced levels, and includes courses in Color Therapy, Scar Camouflage and Areola Pigmenting.
The program’s instructor, Terry Folker, keeps curriculum on the cutting edge of the latest industry trends by attending extensive trainings in Europe twice a year. Lately, major trends include paramedical scar camouflage treatment and areola pigmentation. (Unfortunately, the latter is credited to the rise in breast cancer cases across the country.)
Each class is offered once a month, and serves just two students, allowing for ample one-on-one instruction. After completing each course, students receive a certificate of achievement.
