On January 30 and 31 the Live Love Spa team, a new professional industry networking outfit, held its inaugural event at San Diego’s Spa Brezza at the Hilton Resort.
Vendors had the ability to meet, one-on-one, with attendees over the two-day period. The event was designed to provide a way for vendors to strategically reach qualified buyers in a centralized venue, and provide treatments and experiences.
“The appointments for our Gold sponsors are booked in forty-five minute increments—giving them the opportunity to provide as many as 20 individual demonstrations. It would take months for vendors to get in front of this many decision-makers in a single geographical area,” says Tracie Wertz, a veteran spa professional who now serves as vice president of Live Love Spa. “For sponsors, it’s an exciting new format allowing them to meet with up to 80 qualified buyers in a select region.”
“It’s often difficult for spa professionals to get to the big tradeshows,” adds Lisa Michaelis, founder and CEO of Live Love Spa. “This is their opportunity to engage with up to 20 vendors and only take a half-day out of their schedule and be inspired with ideas that will positively impact their business.”
This new event format has already generated positive feedback from both sponsors and attendees. “This was the best spa event I have ever attended,” said Rachel Stacy, director of The Sanctuary Spa at The Pacific Athletic Club in Del Mar, California. “Spa Directors rarely get to relax and experience treatments, which is the ideal way to become familiar with new products and services. We appreciate the opportunity to be the spa-goer for a day, to experience treatments through their eyes.”
