Wallace-Vigo-Nelson[Images: Courtesy of Wallace Vigo Nelson]What makes your company unique?

We know that beauty truly begins within. All of our holistic nutrition products are engineered to complement and improve the results of any treatments and topical products being used.

What’s the most fun part of your job?

Changing the lives of those we work with by helping their health—and their businesses. The letters of thanks fuel us to continue improving every day.

What is the brand’s hero product and why?

The M’lis detoxification program is the foundational process that we started with nearly 40 years ago, and I believe it’s still the absolute best defense against the health- and beauty-robbing toxins that attack us constantly—by far the most important step toward beauty from the inside out.

What’s your favorite part of the day?

The very early morning, before the sun comes up. My routine includes spending time outdoors, setting my intention and plan for the next few hours, meditating, and working out. It starts everything off with an energy and momentum that continues throughout my day.

Who or what inspires you?

My mother, Linda T. Nelson, RND, PhD: She’s a natural health pioneer, incredibly talented businesswoman, and the best mom and grandma.

Wallace-Vigo-Nelson-mlis[With his wife, Ashlan]What’s your biggest fear?

Not being enough for all of those who rely on me: my wife, my kids, and my team at work. They’re all wonderful and deserve the best I can give, and more. I’m also terrified of sharks.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d like to eliminate my need for sleep. I want to do so many fun and exciting things, and it’s hard to fit them all into waking hours! I’d like to train so I can hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro next summer, and I want to create a series of events to educate spa owners about the hard-won systems and practices that will allow them to be both successful and fulfilled.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you?

I’ve been to all seven continents—I love to travel and explore new places.

If you weren’t in this industry what would you be doing?

I can’t imagine doing anything else. Making a contribution to the world by helping as many people as I can to change their life and improve their health is my passion. Might even call it my obsession.

Who would you most like to meet?

Sir Richard Branson

How do you motivate others?

I have a team of true believers who are inspired by our mission to help others change their lives. My role is simply to keep the flame of that mission alive.

Personal mantra:

See the opportunity, not the problem.

Last good film you saw:

I was really moved by Only The Brave, about the Arizona wilderness firefighters who lost their lives protecting their community.

Favorite city:

Fruit Heights, the quiet little city in northern Utah that I call home.

Pet peeve:

Inconsiderate people.

Can’t leave the house without:

My wife, Ashlan Dee Nelson—we work together, play together, and are pretty much never apart. She’s amazing.
