Sprawling 10,000 square feet, the Conrad Spa at Conrad Punta de Mita in Litibu, Nayarit, Mexico (conradpuntademita .com) sets itself apart with a unique indoor/outdoor design that takes advantage of the resort’s picturesque locale. Conrad Spa’s outdoor areas are truly a slice of paradise: Seven cocoon treatment cabanas (two of which are for couples) are tucked away among natural vegetation and connected by a tunnel made of local plants and flowers. The spa’s offerings menu is inspired by indigenous Huichol symbolism and rituals, which are based around interactions with the natural world. Treatments and ceremonies are designed to encourage internal reflection and bring guests into a more spiritual state. These therapies are categorized as either “transformative” or “discovery”—all aimed at healing and rejuvenation with the luxury traveler in mind.
