Aquatic Healing Retreat at Hotel Café Royal’s Akasha Holistic Wellbeing

Hotel Café Royal’s Akasha Spa
To accompany the existing hydrotherapy treatments available in the Hotel Café Royal’s Akasha spa, the new Aquatic Healing Retreat offers the indulgence and relaxation, to help couples connect with each other and embrace personal wellness for the mind, body and soul. Leading the retreat is Steve Karle, a pioneer in aquatic bodywork therapies. During the workshop, which takes place in the spa’s private Watsu pool, couples will be taken on a transformational path to overall wellbeing through Karle’s method, which is based on listening to the natural movement of the body and following it through a dance-like journey which may include massages, stretching and elements of Craniosacral Therapy. Exploring new and creative techniques of connecting with each other through the power of touch, the Aquatic Healing Retreat is an immersive journey that goes beyond the physical performance of hydrotherapy to emphasize the importance of listening and communication in a relationship, leading to health, happiness and enlightenment. Karle introduced Aquatic Bodywork in London in 2011 and established himself as one of the leading Aquatic practitioners in the world and his approach is characterized by a neutral presence and organic style that follows the client’s mind-body process.

Spanning over 1,200 square meters,  Akasha is an urban retreat in the heart of London.  Akasha is a Sanskrit word that encapsulates the core vision to harmoniously unite the four basic elements of nature: earth, water, fire and air. Akasha provides a unique experience that assists guests and members in promoting health, happiness and fulfillment, while improving personal balance.
