Bio-Targeted Skin Care

What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Ensuring our clients and potential clients are given the best information on skin science and product technology in a world of misinformation and marketing glitz.

What’s the biggest mistake you’ve seen skincare clients make?
If we’re talking about skincare consumers, I’d say not consistently following a daily regimen of corrective skin care. Instead they tend to use one or two products inconsistently.

What makes your company unique?
We combine skin science and innovative formulas to deliver the correct active ingredients at the correct concentration, with a unique delivery system to the correct target site for maximum effectiveness. We’re always pushing the envelope for advanced results, with an emphasis on zero downtime and maintaining natural skin balance.

How did you end up in this industry?
I started working as a research biochemist and found that I had a creative knack and intuition for personal care formulary. I’d always had a passion for the health and beauty industry, so skin care combines my desire to work in both arenas.

What’s coming down the pipeline for DermAware?
We’re launching our new True Beauty line of bio-molecular age control products. Stay tuned for advanced cellular rejuvenation!

Who is your mentor?
My husband and partner, Robert [DermAware’s biomedical director].

Who inspires you?
My family. I’m inspired by both past and future generations. My parents always emphasized education, hard work and family. Robert and I have tried to raise our daughter similarly, and as we watch her blossom with all her achievements, we are further inspired to lead by example. I think this is a universal motivational factor for any parent.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d make more time to sit back and enjoy the wonderful clients and people I work with.

What’s your personal mantra?
Never give up. Believe in yourself.

What would you do differently if you could start all over again?
Nothing! I’m grateful for the way it has all come together.
