SpaFest Confirms Event Date, Speakers and Board Members

SpaFest, a nonprofit event for spa and wellness professionals, will be held at Gwel an Mor in Cornwall from October 12-14, 2021. The event was founded by Amanda Winwood of Made for Life Organics, and created to benefit the Made for Life Foundation, which supports people living with cancer.

“The vision for SpaFest is and has always been about creating sustainable change in wellness for a healthier world," said Winwood. "Meaningful conversations within the spa and well-being sector for both suppliers and operators, with no pressure to buy or sell, just to simply connect and be inspired.”

The SpaFest list of speakers and topics currently includes: 

• Jamie Edwards, mental performance coach, who will discuss "Leading yourself and others beyond crisis."
• Sue Harmsworth, MBE, will discuss "The real trends and challenges that face spa and wellness industry."
• Iain Bell, founder of Executive Fitness Foundation
• Dr. Neil Carpenter, founder of NMC2
• Claudia Roth, founder of Soul Luxury
• Kay Pennington, group spa manager at Center Parcs Aqua Sana

Sarah Camilleri, founding editor of European Spa magazine, has joined as a new director for SpaFest, and a number of spa industry leaders have been appointed to the team as well, including: 

• Brian Hunter, director of spa and leisure, The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, Scotland, who will serve as chairman of the SpaFest Advisory Board
• Mark Smith, media consultant, will lead communications

SpaFest also welcomes new Advisory Board members:
