Global Beauty & Wellness Awards Announced

The 2020 Global Beauty & Wellness Awards (GBWA) honors 39 winners and 89 finalists from across the beauty, organic food and hotel industries this year, as a way to recognize outstanding achievements in brand innovation and sustainability across all sectors that offer a major contribution to global well-being.

The Jury is headed by Nadja Swarovski, and includes Aseem Puri of Unilever, Henrik Mansson of Icehotel and Anne Dimon of the Wellness Tourism Association, among many others. The awards made its selection from 325 global entries from well-established to boutique brands, reflecting the evolution and innovation of the beauty and wellness industry.

Nominees in the cosmetic products categories were judged on ingredients, sustainability, usability, innovation and packaging. Winners emerged from big brands such as Estée Lauder and L'Oréal, as well as niche companies like Herbivore and Byredo.

Nominees in the Hotels category were judged on differentiation, unique wellness offers, general service offers, ambiance, media and visitor feedback. Winners ranged from luxury resorts to affordable lodgings:
