The fourth annual World Wellness Weekend (WWW) took place this past September 19 to 20, 2020. A total of 1,123 venues across 109 countries took part, with on-site or online activities organized for guests. There was at east one free wellness activity available in 543 cities.

Latin America had the highest number of activities organized, with Europe coming in second and Asia in third.

Malaysia was the most active on social media, thanks to the participation of the president of the Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA) and WWW Ambassador, Datin Jeanette Tambakau.

Those venues with on-site activities followed social distancing and local regulations to keep everyone safe: Participants had to wear masks and maintain six feet of distance.

In partnership with WWW, Dianna Ruas and Plantio Brasil pledged to plant over 600,000 trees in memory of COVID-19 victims. Individuals were able to give the name of the loved one they would like to honor and will receive GPS location for their tree.

WWW also announced the launch of World Wellness WebTV, which will feature wellness tips, fitness exercises, nutrition talks and guided relaxations from wellness champions.

The fifth WWW will take place September 18 to 19, 2021.
