Cosmoprof and FIDM Announce Finalists of Connected Beauty Concept 2050

[Image: Courtesy of Cosmoprof]][Image: Courtesy of Cosmoprof]]Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) is delighted to announce the three finalists for the ‘Connected Beauty Concept of 2050’ challenge in collaboration with FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. The public will now decide the winning concept through online voting  here from June 16th through July 6th, 2018.

Five FIDM undergraduate student teams were challenged to develop presentations articulating their vision on what beauty products’ smart packaging and formulation or delivery system will look like in 2050. Team members from Cosmoprof North America visited FIDM on June 13th, 2018 and selected three finalists, NU-YU by Alysha Freeze & Quiana Johnson, Kuali by Carla Colunga & Laura Metzger and Chroma by Megan Satterfield & Shuihan Ding, based on creativity, originality, and presentation.

“We are excited to showcase the visionary ideas developed by the talented FIDM students at CPNA 2018,” says Daniela Ciocan, Marketing Director at CPNA. “It’s the ideal venue to explore the beauty product packaging and delivery systems that could dominate the market in 2050.”

The winning team will receive a trip to CPNA 2018 to exclusively present their concept during the Beauty Innovation Awards & Design Reception on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Event attendees can also learn more about all of the finalists concepts during a 30-minute conference session earlier that same day.
