Guy Tang Joins Premiere Orlando’s Main Stage Lineup

This year, the talk of the town has been the addition of social media superstar and our favorite #hairbestie, Guy Tang to this year’s Main Stage lineup but he’s not the only newcomer this year.

Welcoming to the Stage

For the color enthusiasts of the industry, this year on Hair Color Stage Premiere welcomes ANTIDOTPRO by Scalfix featuring Tracey Cunningham, Ruby Devine, Nadine Donovan and Luigi Rossi as well as JOICO featuring Sherry Ratay, Mark Mileti, Ricardo Santiago, Ben Mollin & Zoe Carpenter and also after phenominal classroom education year after year, Malibu C will be joining the coveted Hair Color Stage lineup featuring Chad Stokes, Georgia Reed, Nicole Emiliani and Amanda Harsche. After last year’s wildly successful Leading Ladies presentation, Tracey Hughes will bring back the panel with new participants Larisa Love and Vivienne Mackinder along with returning panelist Eden Sassoon and Candy Shaw plus their special guest emcee, Sam Villa; this year Leading Ladies will be held on Main Stage, Monday at 12:45p.

New & Trending Classroom Education

One of the best things about attending any Premiere event is the plethora of education that is included with a Show Pass. With the over 600 classes offered at Premiere Orlando this year alone there is bound to be something new for everyone. However, Premiere is excited to add some newcomers to their educational program this year.

CosmoProf Education will feature Lala Chihaha who will present on Bridal and Braided Styling, Leysa Carrillo will be educating on how to lighten, color and style curly and textured hair and Keon Washington will be exploring barbering basics and easy fade methods.

NAHA winner, Dusty Simington along with his advanced team, Kronos Academy will showcase their new 2018 collection as well as demonstrating 9 different haircuts with a technical approach to shags, texture and the 80s while updating each look for today’s trends.

The Santiago Brothers, many may know them as individual platform artists but not know that they’re brothers. At this year’s event, attendees can experience a one-of-a-kind barber versus cosmetologist class with Carlos and Ricardo Santiago. During their fun and informative class, these two talented brothers will share their collective expertise; Carlos as a barber and Ricardo as a cosmetologist. Together they will show you how to take elements from both professions and apply them to your clients back at the shop.

Ryan Teal of the TEALs will be educating on the reality of salon life and educate on how to speed up cuts without compromising quality, compression vs. precision, and utilizing alternate tools. Ryan will also be judging this year’s hair competitions, Women’s Cut, Color and Styling & Bridal, Upstyling and Braiding.

Also new this year, attendees will be able to learn from the Business of Balayage team, Marlo Steenman, Tha Hair Klass, Nappy Hutt, LLC and Studio 4212 with Hair by LaurenD.

Attendees can also join in on the conversation and their learning with the new panel and round table discussions at this year’s event. Topics that will be covered these unique classes include: a salon owners and managers discussion led by Tomeka James, Paul Digrigoli and Oscar Valenica; hair loss panel discussion that includes, Sharon Reams, Connie Judge, Alan J. Bauman, M.D. Hair Transplant Surgeon, dermatologist Dr. Nikki Hill, hair replacement specialist, Gloria “Gigi” Ford and Trichology instructor, Doris F. Mosely; and the Super Barber Summit by Major League Barber who will be bringing leading barbers from across the country to lead an open panel discussion with a Q&A session.

Every year, just before 9:00a open Sunday morning when doors, thousands of industry professionals eagerly wait to get onto the show floor and enlighten their senses with all new products, live demonstrations and the exclusive show deals. This year attendees will be delighted to see new booths from companies like Celeb Luxury, ULTA Beauty Pro, Martino by Martino Cartier, Ouidad, Dyson, British Barbers Association, Victory Barber & Brand as well as welcoming back JOICO and Pureology. Attendees will also be able to enjoy the new and interactive Treasure Hunt hosted by The Goonies.
