Global Wellness Day Founder Awarded Personality of the Year

Global Wellness Day (GWD) founder Belgin Aksoy has received the Personality of the Year award from Spa-A: La Fédération des Professionnels du Bien-ētre during its Soirée Label Qualité event held at the French Institute in Paris on September 9, 2019. Since 2012, SPA-A has awarded successful people who inspire their peers and the industry in line with four criteria: creativity and innovation, vision of the profession, human values and influence.

Aksoy is the first non-French person to receive the Personality of the Year award. On stage, she expressed her gratitude: “I am honored to accept this award as the first non-French person. We owe the success of Global Wellness Day to our wholehearted belief in everything we do. Although we celebrate GWD second Saturday of June every year in June, wellness is a daily and lifelong commitment. I say it all the time and it’s true: ‘One day can change your whole life!’ It changed mine, it’s changed millions and, with support like yours, it will change millions more.”
