In celebration of National Honey Bee Day on August 15, skincare brand BeeSpa has joined forces with the Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund to support the pollinators that keep our planet thriving. Honey bees outnumber other types of bees, making them the world’s most important pollinator of food crops. However, their populations have been declining for years, and this joint venture aims to help ensure their survival.
As part of the partnership, 10% of the proceeds made on beespa.com from July 15 to August 15 will be donated to support habitat projects in Minnesota and North Dakota, BeeSpa’s home and where the brand sources its beeswax. BeeSpa products are made of 16% beeswax and support the local beekeepers; it’s part of the brand’s mission to give honey bees a home where populations can grow and continue to work their magic.
The Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund is a conservation effort to help establish critical pollinator habitats that encourage honey bee and monarch butterfly populations. Guided by the mission to increase and improve pollinator forage and habitat, the organization develops affordable, pollinator-focused seed mixes through Seed a Legacy Habitat Projects.
