Lesley McCave, executive editor
Born and raised in Essex, England, Lesley studied French and Spanish at the University of London and then spent nine years as a travel guide editor for Time Out, crisscrossing the globe along the way (fave cities: Amsterdam, Havana and Toronto). Since making her way across the pond in 2006 she has written and edited features for numerous publications and websites, indulging her passion for hotels, spas and beauty products. She also volunteers with two local animal rescue groups. In her free time she loves hiking, watching Golden Girls marathons, seeking out new ice cream hot spots, drinking PG Tips tea and, as an incurable hispanophile, planning her next trip to Spain.
Laura is an L.A. native who’s been obsessed with books since before she could even read. She has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English, and worked as a proofreader and copy editor in advertising after finishing grad school. In 2014, she joined DAYSPA‘s sister magazine, MedEsthetics, as its associate editor, and was thrilled to take on the role of senior editor for DAYSPA in early 2017. When she’s not immersed in skincare/business articles, you can find her practicing yoga, reading and watching horror, or—typical Angeleno that she is—swimming and soaking up the sun!
Lizzy supervises digital content for DAYSPA and seven of its sister publications (Beauty Launchpad, The Colorist, MAN, Nailpro, Nail It!, Eye Lash and Beauty Store Business). Lizzy has been a featured guest speaker at Cal State University Northridge, Digital LA and the Association for Audience Marketing Professionals. When Lizzy is not writing about spa and beauty, she enjoys practicing yoga, playing guitar and contributing to musical collaborations.
Sarah Reyes, assistant editor
Sarah has been a content creator for various “nerd culture” blogs while managing her own. When she’s not completely absorbed in the “geekdom” lifestyle, she immerses herself in the world of beauty and wellness, while traveling the country attending various Facial Hair competitions with her boyfriend. She spends most of her free time watching movies or trying to decide what book to read next. Catch her people-sketching at a local coffee shop with a rich and foamy cappuccino in hand and secretly wishing she ordered that slice of chocolate cake.
Ryan Boydstun, web creative director
Ryan has been designing, developing, and integrating websites and web technologies since 1995. Although sharp efficiency, strong attention to detail and client-driven design sense propel him in his professional life, he also spends much of his free time following purely artistic pursuits such as oil and digital painting, fingerstyle guitar, composing and jewelry making.
Madlen Martinez, production director
Madlen has been production manager at Creative Age for more than 12 years. She is in charge of all advertising material for our publications and websites. She has 20 years of experience in her field and enjoys the beauty industry very much.
