The ONE Concept Group announced the second annual West Coast School Rally on July 23rd at Earthlite Headquarters in San Diego County. As organizers of the American Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, & Spa Conference in San Diego and Atlanta, ONE Concept is committed to an interdisciplinary approach to wellness. “Students are the future,” says Scott Dartnall, President of ONE Concept Group. “Bringing the massage schools, acupuncture schools, chiropractic schools and cosmetology schools together, furthers ONE Concept’s mission to unite a growing community of holistic practitioners. Our goal is to achieve ONE voice in the field of progressive health care.”

“Just like the ONE Concept Conferences, the focus of the School Rally is not one particular discipline,” says Monica Pasinato-Forchielli, Vice President of ONE Concept. “It is about uniting the professions—the excitement of understanding each other’s disciplines and providing the opportunity to experience the benefits of each modality. Encouraging information, sharing and an interdisciplinary approach benefits the schools, the students and the planet!”

Approximately 25 schools focusing on massage, chiropractic, acupuncture and spa are expected to participate in the School Rally. Each attendee will receive a gift bag loaded with product from sponsors, including Biofreeze®, Biotone®, Bonvital, American3b Scientific and many more. One lucky school will receive the $1,000 Helping Hands Gifts for Growth™ grant from Biofreeze and Biotone. “In collaboration with BIOTONE, we have partnered with One Concept to award grants at the school rally and student program in San Diego,” stated Marshall Dahneke, President and CEO, Performance Health—parent company of Biofreeze. “We believe that the future of our industry is dependent upon the success of students, and we actively look for ways to support them.”

The full day event features “heavy-hitters” in the world of spa, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic and holistic health—attendees will take away trends and tips to capitalize on the 1.9 trillion global market for wellness services. The stellar speaker line-up includes spa entrepreneur Angela Cortright, CEO of Spa Gregories; Cindy Williams, Western Liaison for Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals; CG Funk, Vice President of Industry Relations & Product Development for Massage Envy; Mark Dixon, Chair of the California Massage Therapy Council; Marilyn Allen with the American Acupuncture Council and Editor of Acupuncture Today; and Dr. Eric Plasker, Doctor of Chiropractic and founder of the 100 Year Lifestyle program.

Also included in the program is a networking lunch and tour of Earthlite’s state of the art green facility. “As ONE Concept’s 2012 award recipient for Environmental Leadership, Earthlite is acclaimed for achieving a 100% carbon neutral footprint through various sustainable business practices,” says Earthlite CEO Jim Chenevey. “We depend solely upon renewable wood sources from managed forests, recycle 100% of our scrap wood, minimize waste, and use biodegradable upholstery and CFC-free foam. Environmental responsibility is, quite simply, part of our DNA.”

School Rally attendees also receive a complimentary three day pass to ONE Concept’s American Massage, Chiropractic Acupuncture and Spa Conference September 13-15 in San Diego, including access to the tradeshow floor and all one hour classes. All students receive complimentary access on Friday “Student Day.” The ONE Concept Conference is ideal for massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and holistic practitioners wanting integrative, hands on education to develop a holistic approach to wellness.
