Skin Inc.’s Face & Body has evolved beyond the traditional expo as it advances with the addition of this Southeast show and becomes one of the industry’s most comprehensive events for professional spa education, networking and innovation. The show brought together over 1,628 spa professionals and industry suppliers.

Face & Body is known for its diverse exhibitor base, and this inaugural show was no exception. Known as a launch and networking pad for new spa products and equipment, this year’s event featured 95 exhibiting companies. Ranging from international beauty leaders to indie trendsetters, exhibiting brands included Aroma Wrap, Bio France Lab, Eminence Organic Skincare, HydraFacial MD, Institut’ DERMed Clinical Skin Care, LightStim, Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare, Premier Dead Sea, Revitalash and Société Clinical Skincare.

“It is our goal to continually serve our customers. As we expand our footprint and launch more events, we are able to achieve that goal. Atlanta was the right market location to bring our spa professional and product supplier customers together to learn, shop and grow their spa businesses,” said Sandy Chapin, group show director.

The Advanced Education program provided robust, unbiased education that is critical to elevating the knowledge of the esthetician and spa owner. This year, with 157 registered attendees, education was broken up into a Wellness Track, a Business Track, a Science Track and a Treatment Track. Kicking off the conference was the keynote “The Intention to Serve: The Most Valuable Beauty Secret Ever Divulged,” by celebrated pioneer, industry consultant and founder of Beauty Becomes You Foundation, Alison O’Neil. Her speech explored what it means to have “a servant’s heart” and demonstrated how spa and wellness professionals literally and figuratively touch others.

“We exceeded goals for the Advanced Education Conference, which is amazing, but what was even more inspirational was the passion for esthetic education in this region. The spa owners and estheticians in attendance were incredibly engaged in the education, which just speaks to the quality of skin care in this area. We can’t wait to bring them even more next year,” said Katie Anderson, conference director and Skin Inc. managing editor.

With over 20 educational sessions taught by spa industry experts, the Advanced Education Conference allowed attendees to earn up to two Georgia Continuing Education (CE) credits by attending three Georgia-approved CE classes.

Skin Inc.’s Face & Body Southeast will take place again on October 7-9, 2017 and will be held at Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA.
